State of the City Address Information:

The State of the City Address is a speech customarily given once each year by the Mayor of the City of Quincy, Massachusetts in the United States. The timing, venue and purpose of a State of the City Address can vary significantly depending on local history and practice.

 

In the City of Quincy, Massachusetts, by law or tradition, the State of the City Address is delivered to the City Councilor of the City of Quincy, School Committee of the City of Quincy, State Delegation of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Just as often, the presentation is given to - or even given at the invitation of members of a local business organization or a prominent local charity. Either way, the State of the City Address is usually used to outline the mayor's legislative proposals and policy directions for the upcoming year.

 

Jimmy Hui, President/Chief Executive Officer at The Jimmy Hui Foundation & The Happy Acres Foundation office is very pleased to announce that City of Quincy will host their State of the City Address 2025 begins on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at City Hall: 1305 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA to opens for the residents, persons with disabilities, citizens, elected officials, City of Quincy employees and the public are welcome to come as the seating are limited in the City Council Chambers throughout the evening's program.

 

Chris Walker, Mayor's Chief of Staff is in the charge of the Master of Ceremonies for the State of the City Address every year right after the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day weekend which it would be a great opportunity for the City of Quincy have a chance to deliver their remarks to layout their 2025 legislative proposal agenda from Mayor Thomas P. Koch.

 

Mayor Thomas P. Koch will deliver his remarks for the State of the City Address in the City Council Chambers at City Hall directly with the Members of the City Councilor, Members of the School Committee, Members of the State Delegation, City of Quincy employees and the citizens of Quincy to layout with his 2025 mayor's legislative proposals and policy directions for the future of the City of Quincy.

 

Quincy Access Television (QATV):

The Quincy Access Television will broadcast live coverage for the State of the City Address 2023 at City Council Chambers throughout the day which it will be on QATV Channel 9 and QATV's Facebook Live and QATV.org website.
