City of Quincy Patriotic Celebration Concert July 6th:
Quincy,
MA -- Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy invite you on July 6th from
4:00 p.m. - 8:00 pm as Quincy caps off our City-wide "Patriotic
Celebration" with an evening of Patriotic and Great American Songbook
music. The event will be held on the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock St.
National award-winning recording artist Michelle Brooks-Thompson will open the
event at 4:00 p.m. singing the National Anthem. Her striking voice has
captivated audiences at countless major sporting events delivering the National
Anthem as well as God Bless America including the 2024 NBA Celtics vs. Mavericks
Finals Game 1. The Colonial Navy of Massachusetts Fife and Drum Corps will
perform from 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. reminding us of our heritage, entertaining
us with music and performances. Quincy’s own Center Stage Performing Arts
Studio will take the stage with a dance performance from 4:35 p.m.- 4:45 pm.
Boston’s Premier Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and the Rat Pack Cover Band, A
Swingin’ Affair, starring Donnie Norton, will perform from 4:45 p.m.- 6:30
p.m. Then, direct from Broadway, singers Michelle Dowdy, Amy Hillner Larsen and
Jordan Wolfe will perform from 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. The Middlesex County
Volunteers Fifes & Drums, a repertory ensemble performing martial, dance,
and folk music drawn from 17th, 18th, and early 19th century sources in America
and Europe as well as contemporary compositions, will take the stage to close
out the evening.
Seating will be available or bring your lawn chairs. Food is available for
purchase at one of the City’s downtown restaurants nearby.
